The Permian Basin Chess Club was established to promote the royal game of chess around the Permian Basin area of West Texas. The club is an affiliate of the United States Chess Federation (USCF). We conduct monthly officially rated chess tournaments for USCF members and weekly informal club meetings where everyone is welcome and you need not be a member to participate.

We welcome everybody who loves the game of chess, from beginners to masters, young and old!

We Meet Every Thursday Night for casual play

6:00-9:45 pm at the

U.T.P.B. Student Union

the public is welcome, all you need to bring is your interest in chess.

Mesa Building, Second Floor. The Mesa Building is the large rectangular "main" building in the center of the university complex. Enter the center doors on the 42nd street side, take the stairs to your left, or the elevators, to the second floor, follow the signs to the Student Union.
